* Kerala Sahitya Akademi was headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram in 1956 when it came into existence.  Later that position was shifted to Thrissur.

* Mannathu Padmanabhan was the president of the Guruvayur Satyagraha Committee and KKelappan was the secretary.  However, the first president of the Nair Service Society formed in Perunna in 1914, K.  Kelappan and the first secretary was Mannath padmanaban.

* Kulasekhara Azhwar, the founder of the second Chera Empire, first ruled from Thiruvanchikulam.  Later in AD  It was only after 825 that the capital was shifted to Mahodayapuram.
